Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Collection Review

Hello beauties,

Summer has hit us hard here in Dubai, I suggest you stay home, drink lots of water, and pass time by playing with all the new summer collections that makeup brands are coming out with. Todays post is all about the Aquatic Treasures Summer Collection by Clarins and I have a few products from the collection to share.

This collection was inspired by 'Underwater Frenzy'.

"The turquoise depths hide treasures that have been reinterpreted for this summer in tones of rosy gold, pearlescent beige and lagoon green, with iridescent glints and a glowy effect. The Clarins woman emerges from the water like a an aquatic nymph. Mysterious, like the world of the ocean depths. She affirms and reinvents herself... naturally."
First product from this summer collection is the Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base. I have the shade 04 Apricot. The Instant Light range is not new to Clarins but this shade specifically is limited edition.

Beautiful liquid base that adds luminosity to the face and what I like best about it is you can get as creative as you want with it. You can mix it with your moisturizer or day cream for a subtle glow, you can mix it with your foundation to achieve a 'glow within' result, you can even apply it on the highest points of your cheekbones for an extra dewy look.

Everyone is raving about this! The shade I have is not "fair girl" friendly but on days where I self tan I can totally rock this!
The next two products work hand in hand, the Waterproof Eye Pencil in 05 Aquatic Green (limited edition) and the Truly Waterproof Mascara in 03 Aquatic Green (limited edition). Perfect pair to add to your daily makeup routine to brighten the eyes. These colors in particular look amazing on bronzed skin, thus perfect for the summer season.

They are 'truly waterproof' and you are going to need a good makeup remover to get them off your eye.
The pencil reminded me so much of the infamous Urban Decay eye pencils but this one is the most beautiful blue eyeliner I've ever seen and used. The mascara on the other hand is a deep green color that when worn is not so obvious at first glance but it brightens up the eye and adds an extra oomph to the whole look.

Look created using the eyepencil and the mascara on the lower lash line:
Hope you enjoyed this post!
