July Favorites | + 10 Mini Reviews

Hello beauties,

Its already August and summer is passing by so fast... someone please make it stop! Since I am in my home country and not in Dubai, I wasn't able to get a lot of makeup with me but I did manage to pack a few things. My favorites for this month are not new products but they are products I've been gravitating towards on a daily basis.

My favorites for the month of July:
Lets start off with the lippies...

My favorite lipsticks for this month are NYX matte lipstick in Euro Trash (MLS19) and Clinique in Soft Bloom. Euro Trash is more of a brownish nude and Soft Bloom is a pinky nude. I've really been into nudes lately and since I love experimenting with makeup looks, I feel like I'm always reaching out for these two.

NYX Euro Trash is matte but it still has this creamy texture that doesn't dry out the lips. Can't wait to buy more shades of NYX's matte lipsticks.

Clinique's Soft Bloom is the complete opposite of Euro Trash. It has a cremesheen finish, it is so moisturizing on the lips, and definitely a 'my lips but better' shade.
Big shoutout to my girl, Heena K., for giving me this lipstick.
Moving on to the eyes, I've been loving NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. Applied over an eye primer, it can make any bright color pop and bring out its intensity. It is worth the hype! You can also use it on the waterline or draw on your face with it and then apply eyeshadow or glitter above it if you are going for something creative and artsy (Halloween tip).
I've been loving TheBalms Nudetude palette. My love for it has ben completely revived. Check out my post here. It is very versatile and perfect for travel, I feel like there isn't any everyday wearable eye look you can't do with it.

TheBalm is now available at Debenhams in Dubai!
My second favorite from TheBalm is their Mary-Lou Manizer. Packaging is on point and the product is even better. So pigmented, buttery, and a little goes a long way but you can definitely build it up to the intensity you desire. Applied on the high points of the cheekbones, down the center of the nose, and the cupids bow, you will have the perfect summer glow.
On to face products, I can't put this blush down and its e.l.f's studio blush in Tickled Pink. Almost hitting pan on it! This blush is gorgeous and because of its light, neutral tone, its fool proof. Its so easy to work with. You can pack your brush, apply it on your cheeks, blend properly and you are good to go. It gives the perfect flush to the cheeks without looking clownish.
Next face favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. Where has this been all my life?! All you fair to medium skin tone people go out and buy yourself this palette. The bronzing shades are perfect. If you are fair, use the bottom middle shade to contour your cheekbones, nose,  and under your lip. Then use the bronzer on the bottom left to blend the contour and bronze up the cheeks, focusing on the area closest to the ears. Continue blending upwards to your temples, this helps create the illusion of a slimmer face.

If you have a light tan, go for the first bottom shade (left) to contour and the bottom last one (right) to bronze the face.

If you are fair, use the first top matte shade to highlight under the eyes and center of the face. If you are tanned then choose the top middle yellow shade. Lastly, highlight the cheekbones with the last top shimmery shade.
Speaking of contouring, a brush that has been working amazingly for me this month is the Real Techniques Contour Brush. Its domed shape helps you place product in the hollows of your cheek and the outer bristles blend it out. You basically don't end up with a harsh, visible line.
Before I left Dubai I managed to get my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown. Honestly, this stuff is hard to work with and if you're inexperienced with drawing brows then skip it. Nonetheless, after practicing with hair-like strokes and finding the right brush, I am in love!! I've totally ditched my e.l.f eyebrow kit for this stuff. It looks natural and it's totally matte with no shine whatsoever.

The brush I am using is the Bdellium Tools 714.
Last but not least, favorite nail polish of the month of July is Koko Nails in Deep Indigo. After trying so many nail polish brands, Koko Nails is my favorite by far, it beats OPI and Essie any day. It doesn't chip as fast, at least with the colors I tried. Someone hold me 'cause I think I'm going to buy every single shade they have, haha.
